When You Use the Extension

• Screenshots: We capture screenshots of web pages you choose to record
• Click Coordinates: We record the location of your mouse clicks during recording sessions
• Page URLs: We store the web addresses of pages you record
• Viewport Information: We collect browser window dimensions and device pixel ratio for proper demo playback

All recorded data is stored locally in your browser using:

• Chrome's local storage API
• IndexedDB for screenshot images
• No data is automatically sent to external servers

How We Use Your Information

Demo Creation

• Screenshots and click data are used to create interactive product demos
• Data is processed locally in your browser
• You control when and if to upload demos to the Propels platform

Platform Integration

• When you choose to save a demo to your Propels account, recording data is sent to our servers
• This is optional and requires your explicit action
• You can use the extension without connecting to our platform

Local Storage

• All recording data is stored locally in your browser by default
• We do not automatically access or transmit this data

Propels Platform (Optional)

• Only when you explicitly save a demo to your account is data sent to our servers
• Uploaded demos are stored securely and used only for your demo creation and sharing
• We do not sell or share your demo content with third parties

• We do not share your data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes

Permissions Explained

Why We Need Broad Website Access

• Host Permissions (http://*/* and https://*/*): Required to record demos on any website you choose
• Active Tab: Needed to capture screenshots of the current page
• Scripting: Required to detect your clicks and interactions during recording
• Storage: Used to save your recording settings and demo data locally
• Tabs: Needed to open the demo editor after recording

Your Rights and Controls

Data Control

• You can delete all local recording data through the extension
• You can clear browser storage to remove all extension data
• You control what websites you record on

Account Data

• If you have a Propels account, you can delete your demos through our platform
• Contact us to request deletion of your account and all associated data

Security

• Local data is protected by Chrome's security model
• Data transmitted to our servers is encrypted in transit
• We implement industry-standard security measures to protect uploaded content

Data Retention

• Local recording data is kept until you delete it or uninstall the extension
• Platform demos are kept according to your account settings
